一、何謂台灣文學系？(Introduction to the Department of Taiwanese Literature )
何謂台灣文學系？顧名思義，凡研究與學習台灣文學的科系，即是台灣文學系。那何謂台灣文學呢？凡是作品內容是以台灣這塊土地之人事物為描寫對象者，不論是以外語、華語、台語、客語、原住民語寫成，都是台灣文學。台灣文學和世界所有國家文學一樣，都是內容廣泛，包容性高的文學，具有崇高而偉大的內涵。
What is meant by Taiwanese literature departments? As its name suggests, research and studying in Taiwanese literature departments, that is, Taiwanese literature departments. Then what is meant by Taiwanese literature? All the content is based on Taiwan people of this land for the description object, whether it is in a foreign language, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Hakka and Aboriginal languages written as, all Taiwanese literature. Taiwanese literature and literature in all countries of the world, are wide-ranging, inclusive of high literature, with a noble and great content.

四、產學合作(Industry-university Collaboration)
本系為台灣第一所設立之台灣文學系，除文學藝術課程外，更積極推動與業界的合作，由業界主管講授實務課程，並安排實習與畢業後之工作。。
The department of Taiwanese literature is firstly to set up in the Taiwan. We proactively take participation and improve the industry-university collaboration besides the development of the literary arts curriculum. For improvement industry-university collaboration, more practitioners be invited and assist to teach the practice curriculum. In addition, we arrange practical training, and give guidance to take office when students finish all of training.
